Avistrum is not a real school, and we do not really teach sorcery or magic. We are a group of fans and enthusiasts of fantasy fiction. Our goal is to provide an imaginative environment where children (and adults) can explore a fictional world full of magic.

This website is an extension of work that we do at fantasy and science fiction conventions around the Denver area. We create an environment for imaginative play-acting, where children (and adults) can pretend to be students at a fictional school of magic. We craft lessons where the students can participate in activities that simulate, as best as possible, the magical world. We do use elements of many various works of fantasy literature, such as magic wands, incantations, runes, potions, and fortune telling, but all of it in the same make-believe way that children already do.

We take creating an environment that is safe and entertaining, for children and adults alike, very seriously. We do not sell email addresses or other lists to any third party. We may, from time to time, send emails to our users, including those under 13, notifying them of planned real-world activities or changes to the website.

We hope this answers the majority of your questions and concerns. If not, please contact us, and we will be happy to respond.
