We would like to thank the hundreds of people who came by and visited us at StarFest, at both our table on Friday and Saturday, as well as the room we had all day Sunday! We hope you enjoyed Wizard Jeopardy hosted by the Marauders on Saturday, and the Potions and Practical Magic lessons on Sunday. Our thanks to Madam Grasella Moffat, a distinguished Avistrum alumna, who was our guest Potions lecturer for the weekend. We would also like to thank Mistress Craefter for her terrific lessons on origami and defensive symbols.

During OPUS 2005, there was a performance by a curious duo known as the Redneck Wizards. Their resemblance to Professors Dowling and Bloodthorne is purely coincidental. Unfortunately, the camera work is not stellar, but it’s the only video of the performance. Also, some crude (though not profane) language is used, so parental discretion is advised.

Thank you to all of our new students for joining us at our 2005 term at OPUS. All of the faculty, staff, ghosts, and other residents of Avistrum Academy of Sorcery want to give a heartfelt welcome to our new students, who completed their first year HAWK exams and will be second years when they return in 2006. We also want to congratulate the new reigning House Cup Champions, Lobostro House!

A big thank you to all who stopped by our table, or came to Wizard Jeopardy, Defense Against Dark Magic, or Transfiguration at StarFest 2005! Wizard Jeopardy, in particular, was a huge success, and we will be exploring bringing it to future conventions and festivals. We hope to have some pictures up soon, so keep an eye out!
